Grant Information

We highly value organizations that can clearly state measurable outcomes with an effective action plan outlined to achieve these outcomes. Organizations must fall into one of the following categories:

Youth:We strive to give youth a healthy foundation that will provide for a viable future.  Organizations should seek to solve at least one of these problems:

  • Lack of basic needs and rights (education, food, shelter)
  • Healthy development of young people
  • Abuse and/or neglect
  • Poverty
  • Lack of role models, information and guidance  

Spiritual Formation:Our hope is for people to have a healthy spiritual life and a hope and purpose in Christ so they can do God’s work and spread the word of God. Organizations should strive to make an impact in at least one of the following areas:

  • Bible study
  • Theological education
  • Transforming the self and the world
  • Christian leadership
  • Ministerial formation/church revitalization
  • Prison ministries
  • The Church

Valuing Human Worth:We believe every human has a right to his or her own body, a right to have food and a right to have shelter.  Organizations should seek to solve at least one of these problems:

  • Human and sexual trafficking
  • Basic needs (poverty, hunger, education, homelessness)
  • Disease  

Proposal requirements:We accept the MN Common Grant Application (do not exceed five pages). Please include cover letter and required attachments. Send grant applications to:

Geographic focus:The foundation will accept grant requests from the Twin Cities metro area and from global organizations.  In addition, the foundation will make a small amount of trustee grants. Trustee grants are grants selected by family members based on needs within their local communities, which could be outside of the Twin Cities metro area.  We will not accept unsolicited requests for trustee grants.

Eligible Organizations:

  • 501 ( c) 3
  • Faith based organizations (including churches)

Process and timeline:

Proposal submission                           January 8, 2024 – April 1, 2024

Site visits                                             Ongoing, completed by June 7, 2024

Grants awarded                                   No later than September 30, 2024
